Brett Holum

A native of Grand Rapids, MN, Brett began his print media career with Manney’s Shopper comprising of seven weekly shoppers in NE, MN and NW, WI in 1996 selling advertising. Brett also owned a fundraising company helping youth activities raise money for their programs. He went on to become the General Manager of the Grand Rapids Manney’s Shopper for twelve years and then moved on to the newspaper side in 2014 with the Grand Rapids Herald Review where he became the General Manager of the Grand Rapids Herald Review until 2023. Brett held the interim regional president role in 2024 until being named the Northern Minnesota region president in 2025.

Active in his community, Brett has held board positions as the president of the Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association and Grand Rapids, MN Blueline Club. He also coached H.S. Varsity baseball for 13 years as well as coached youth hockey for over 25 years in Grand Rapids, MN.

Brett and his wife Sue have three adult children. They enjoy sports, outdoor activities such as hunting, ATV trail riding and hiking.
