APG Media of Eastern North Carolina
Robin L. Quillon joined Adams Publishing Group (APG) as Regional President of APG Media of Eastern North Carolina in March of 2019. Prior to joining APG, he served as Publisher of The Tribune-Democrat in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Publisher of the Cumberland Times-News in Cumberland, Maryland, and as Divisional Senior Vice President for CNHI with responsibilities for newspapers in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Ohio. He has more than 35 years of newspaper, magazine and commercial printing experience, starting as a sales executive with his hometown newspaper, The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1984.
Robin has held numerous leadership positions in the newspaper industry. He has guest lectured at the American Press Institute in Reston Virginia, training newspaper executives from across the country in team building and time management. In Johnstown, Robin was the recipient of the Distinguished Citizen of the Year award for his service for five years as chairman of the Boy Scouts of America fund-raising committee. He served as President of the Greater Johnstown Chamber of Commerce for two years and served on the regional hospital board of directors for five years. Robin has been very active in press associations throughout his career, serving as President of the Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association, Vice President of the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association and as a member of the board of directors of the Virginia Press Association. Robin has testified twice before congressional committees on behalf of the newspaper industry. His team in Johnstown was honored with CNHI’s newspaper and magazine of the year awards in 2009. Robin has received numerous press association awards for excellence in advertising and has led teams over several years to recognition as prestigious Golden Quill finalists, presented by the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania.
Robin attended Piedmont College of Virginia, with an emphasis on business. He attended The Burke Institute Center for Applied Marketing Research in Ohio, and is certified as a Focus Group Moderator.
Robin’s interests include, among other things, sky diving, reading and fishing. He and his wife, Cindy, have four children.
