Adams Publishing Group acquires Athens NEWS

Athens, OH – September 24, 2014 – Adams Publishing Group, LLC announced Wednesday that it is acquiring the Athens NEWS, an alternative twice weekly newspaper, in Athens, from Bruce Mitchell and Guy Philips.

APG Media of Ohio also owns the local daily newspaper, The Athens Messenger, in addition to seven other paid distribution newspapers and three other free, controlled distribution publications.

Adams Publishing Group, LLC acquires Chronotype Publishing Company

August 1, 2014

Minneapolis, MN – August 1, 2014- Adams Publishing Group, LLC announced today that it has purchased the assets of Chronotype Publishing Company located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. The acquisition includes The Chronotype, Northwestern Wisconsin’s largest weekly newspaper, and The Early Bird, a weekly shopper.

The expansion by family-owned Adams Publishing Group follows the July acquisition of Huckle Media located in Southern Minnesota with 10 community newspapers, 17 websites, shopping guides, magazines, a digital agency and commercial printing facilities.

Minneapolis, MN – July 1, 2014- Adams Publishing Group, LLC announced today that it has purchased the assets of Huckle Media LLC located in Southern Minnesota. The acquisition includes 10 community newspapers, 17 websites, shopping guides, magazines, a digital agency and commercial printing facilities.

The expansion by family-owned Adams Publishing Group follows the March acquisition of three divisions of American Consolidated Media located in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Maryland with 34 print publications and related media operations.

APG acquires three newspaper divisions from ACM

March 13, 2014

Minneapolis, MN – March 13, 2014 – Adams Publishing Group LLC (APG) announced today that it has purchased three newspaper divisions from American Consolidated Media (ACM). The newspaper divisions include the Superior Publishing Group, Ohio Publishing Group, and Chesapeake Publishing Group. The purchase includes a total of 34 print publications, special print products, digital media assets and commercial printing facilities.

Following the acquisition, APG Media will consist of four regions: APG Media of Wisconsin LLC, APG Media of Minnesota LLC, APG Media of Ohio LLC, and APG Media of Chesapeake LLC.
