ECM (East Central Minnesota)
Mark Weber serves as Regional President of ECM (East Central Minnesota), a division of the family-owned Adams Publishing Group, LLC (APG). Prior to joining APG, he was the General Manager for ECM’s largest region where he managed 50 separate publications in Minnesota. He is a 20-plus year veteran of the newspaper industry, having held various senior management positions with the Star Tribune, Denver Post, Pioneer Press and Outdoor News. During that time Weber has been a sales and marketing leader, as well as leading major profit enhancement and new media initiatives.
In addition to his professional experience, he has served on a number of professional and non-profit boards across Minnesota: Minnesota Newspaper Association, Newspaper Association of America Advertising Federation Board, Minnesota Citizens Advisory Board to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesota Emergency Foodshelf Network, Twin Cities Media Alliance, and the Regional March of Dimes in Minneapolis and Denver.
Born Sept. 3, 1961, in Le Sueur, Minn., Weber, who is married to Cynthia, received a BS in Business Education from the University of Minnesota where he lettered in baseball. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of St. Thomas (Minn.), along with a number of professional certifications. Weber was a high school teacher and coach in Minnesota prior to his newspaper career.
