Jeff Robertson has served as Regional President of APG of the Rockies since April 2016. He also serves as Group Publisher for APG’s four daily newspapers in Wyoming: the Wyoming Tribune Eagle in Cheyenne, Laramie Boomerang, Rock Springs Rocket-Miner and Rawlins Daily Times. Robertson also is the publisher of the Wyoming Business Report, a monthly statewide niche publication.
Prior to being named publisher of the Laramie Boomerang in 2014, Robertson was a Division Manager/Regional Publisher with News Media Corporation for 12 weekly newspapers in the states of Wyoming, Nebraska, and Arizona. Robertson’s duties in this role started in 1999 with three papers in Wyoming, and additional papers were added to his duties over the next 15 years. He also served as NMC’s Director of New Media from 2004-2011. Prior to moving to Wyoming, Robertson worked for News Media Corporation papers in Illinois, starting as an editor in 1992 and then becoming a general manager in 1997.
Robertson has served with the Wyoming Press Association as a board member for more than 10 years, including a term as board president in 2011. He also has served as a member of numerous Rotary clubs, the United Way of Albany County board of directors and is currently a member of Cheyenne LEADS, which promotes economic development in Cheyenne and the surrounding area. Robertson also was a volunteer coach for numerous youth sports organizations.
Born in Rochelle, Ill., Robertson is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and has a BS in journalism and minors in math and physics. Robertson and his wife, Deb, have two grown sons.
